open poetry readings from a wide range of contemporary poets.
These evenings also include a short 'open mic' slot for readings from the floor.

poetry workshops for writers looking for feedback on their poems.

Bi-annual Saturday all day 'master poet' workshops for igniting new inspiration.

Annual writing retreat for our members which is highly subsidised by our Society, offering a quiet and sociable time to write.

Our mega annual open
poetry competition,
with £1350 in prizes.

Folio competition, judged by well-recognised poets, for members only.

Annual dues are still only £15, which entitles you to free admission to the
local readings and our monthly Tuesday workshops, plus the opportunity to
take part in our highly subsidised workshops and writing retreats, for members only.
Most of our readings are held at The Camden Centre,
Tunbridge Wells on the third Tuesday of each month, and are open to non-members. Admission £3.
